and in response to below, I think every ethnic group gets made fun of for something. And to some extent, you just have to roll with the punches. You might be sick of ppl saying Chinese eat freakish food. I'm sure Indians are also sick of being told they smell like curry, and Koreans are sick of being told kimchi is their national treasure.
I know manny groups get made fun of. All is well as long as people make money and bad things do not happen. However, if something goes wrong, the group that is portrayed as the freakish outsider will most likely be made the scapegoat. Look what happened to the Jews in Europe. So I don't think we should just be complacent. They can talk about the delicacies eaten by the Chinese, but I also think it is important for mainstream media to portray the Chinese as the way they are, mostly normal people getting on with their lives and not habitually munching on seahorses and fertilized duck eggs.
